MCLV, in collaboration with Perkins&Will, designed a vibrant public plaza as part of a 120,000 square foot redevelopment in the heart of Somerville. The project builds on the character and charm of Davis Square in a contemporary way, providing places for people to shop, gather, and relax. Native plants and regionally-sourced granite walls reinforce the plaza as an authentic New England setting. The design prioritizes accessibility and flexibility for the many events that Davis Square is known for. This landmark redevelopment will play an important role in the evolution of the neighborhood for decades to come.
